Tankered waste

We provide safe and compliant disposal of industrial and domestic liquid waste through its tankered waste service, offering treatment at multiple sites across the region with varying fees based on waste type and volume.

Tankered trade waste

Our Tankered Trade Waste Team work with waste water collection providers to dispose of industrial waste water in the safe and compliant way.

We operate 7 tankered trade waste reception sites across our region treating a wide range of industrial effluents. We provide tankered trade waste services to commercial customers where there is no access to sewer or where disposal to sewer isn’t permitted.

We are able to accept a number of waste streams for disposal via tanker - from landfill leachates to stronger organic waste from a wide range of industrial processes.

We provide a secure disposal outlet which offers environmental protection and the highest levels of health and safety.

We also have a dedicated customer account team to ensure we are always on hand to help with your requirements.

All tankered wastes require approval before discharge, which is why we have our waste approvals process.

To meet our requirements, we’ll need you to complete a Waste Application Form, and provide us with a sample of the waste you need us to treat.

We will analyse the waste and let you know whether it is treatable and whether there are any conditions for discharge.

All waste streams are treated individually to ensure the highest standards of customer service and best available gate fees.

Our charges for tankered trade waste depends on nature and strength of the waste.

Once we have completed our analysis we will inform you of our treatment costs.

To get approval for you discharge of waste, you'll need to complete an application form.

Please download and complete the discharge application form below, then email the completed form to the team.

You can also download an application guidance document and assessment example to help you complete the form.

Events waste

Music festivals, country fairs, motorsport events. All great summer traditions, and all great producers of liquid waste.

Every year hundreds of these events take place across our region, which is why we work closely with event organisers and their contractors to help them handle their waste water challenges.

When dealing with liquid waste, it’s essential every safety precaution is taken and every regulation followed. That’s why managing waste from these events takes a great deal of organisation and control.

We need to know well in advance if your business is planning to provide such a service and intend to use Severn Trent facilities for liquid waste disposal. This is especially important if the liquid waste is going to be delivered outside normal working hours.

So, contact us if you’re planning an event and we’ll advise which site (or sites) would be the most appropriate. Please be aware that there is often a charge for operating the service outside normal working hours.

Sludge trading

We're open for business!

Our regulator Ofwat is changing its regulatory approach for the treatment sludge and Water and Waste Water companies are now able to import and export sludges without boundaries.

If you need sludge treatment capability, our live sludge capacity tracker shows available space at our Bioresources treatment hubs.

Our capacity data is updated daily at 8am and shows how much waste is being processed at each site, as well as how much space we have for more waste at any point over the next 7 days.
