Investing in our future now
Over the past 35 years, we have invested around £21 billion in infrastructure to improve customer service and meet ever-rising water quality and environmental standards.
We’ll make even more significant investments over the next 25 years as we tackle new challenges and seize new opportunities.
Our ambitious plan for 2025–2030
In 2023, we submitted our Business Plan for 2025–2030 (AMP 8) to Ofwat. Our strategy is our most ambitious yet, and we have been recognised as one of only two water companies with ‘outstanding’ PR24 plans. We are now putting into place a £12.9 billion investment programme to deliver real progress for customers and the environment.
Our Business Plan sets clear outcome delivery incentives, guiding us toward our long-term targets and addressing the major challenges facing our industry.
Key priorities include:
Investing in the environment and society
We’ve dedicated £5 billion of our proposed investment to enhancements, with 82% focused on environmental and sustainability priorities.
This reflects what our customers care about most:
Committed to Net Zero
Achieving Net Zero by 2050 is a top priority for our investors and customers, who expect strong action on climate change.
Net Zero Targets:
We’re investing for a cleaner, greener, and more resilient future – for our customers, our communities, and the environment.
