Severn Trent named CDP Supplier Engagement Leader

Thursday 13th April

Severn Trent has been recognised for the second consecutive year as a Supplier Engagement Leader in the 2022 Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) conducted by CDP, an international non-profit organisation focused on environmental disclosure.

The water and waste company has been found to be among the top 8% assessed for supplier engagement on climate change, based on its 2022 CDP disclosure.

CDP’s Supplier Engagement Rating assesses how effectively companies are working with suppliers to address climate change issues. Specifically, it focuses on the key areas of governance, targets, ambition, management (Scope 3), supplier engagement, and overall CDP climate change performance.

Helen Miles, Capital Delivery and Commercial Director at Severn Trent, said: “Being recognised by CDP for the second year in a row is a really proud moment for Severn Trent and testament to all the hard work that’s being done to engage and support our suppliers in this space.

"Sustainable businesses need sustainable supply chains. We’re committed to continuing to accelerate our initiatives to ensure we do the right thing for our customers, the communities we serve and for the wider environment.”
