We have an amazing opportunity for someone to join the Severn Trent Services team through a two year apprenticeship programme. Severn Trent Services provide water and waste services to companies nationwide, including the MoD and The Coal Authority.

In this role you could be hands on carrying out operational work one day and the next your using your fantastic customer service skills to investigate, diagnose and resolve a problem at one of customers properties. The role involves being hands on, carrying out general maintenance tasks to run our sites as efficiently as possible and undertaking repairs to pumps, pipework and more on a reactive and planned basis – giving a real sense of achievement when you can see what the benefit of your work has resulted in. 

You will be working on a mixture of water and wastewater assets across our sites, such as Water Treatment Works, Sewage Treatment Works, Pumping Stations, Oil and Water Interceptors, Fire Boosters and more, all different in size and complexity. Once training is completed, you will have a great understanding and knowledge in Water and Waste water processes, Operating and Maintaining assets, Leakage detection with the option to develop your training in other areas after your apprenticeship is complete.

At the end of the programme you’ll take up a Field Technician role, where you’ll get to make a real difference. 

Entry criteria

Individuals without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this prior to completing the apprenticeship.

Due to the nature of some of our contracts you will be required to achieve full security clearance.
