Make a difference

At Severn Trent we don’t do ordinary. Like the amazing product we supply to millions of people every day, our business is a fluid one, and as the world of water moves forward, we’re moving with it; whether we’re introducing digital technology, tackling climate change or leading the way on green energy. Our engineers are at the forefront of that transformation. Together we’re finding, building and implementing solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges, creating a sustainable future and ensuring our customers' water is always there when they need it, no matter what.

At Severn Trent, you can take engineering – and your career - in the direction you want. You’ll also have the chance to work on major projects with our experienced Senior Engineers. You could be looking at flood alleviation and mitigation, managing the safety of dams and reservoirs, using telemetry to create early warning systems or even running a number of operational
sites simultaneously.

You could be working on the biggest engineering project we’ve ever done – the Birmingham Resilience Project – a £300M scheme to build a brand new water supply for Birmingham; or our £60million Newark project with its network of new tunnels built deep under the town helping to prevent sewer flooding for around 400 homes and businesses. You will hear both Jane and Joe talking about their roles within these projects, in the videos below.
