Security, Resilience and Site Operations Apprentice Level 3

Apprenticeship Programme: Security First Line Manager

Apprenticeship Level: 3 Advanced

Equivalent to: 2 A levels

Programme Duration: 18 months

What you'll be doing

Working with the Health, Safety, Security and Wellbeing team, you will become competent in supervising people and activities in line with regulatory requirements. As you progress and complete your apprenticeship learning, you'll build knowledge and expertise in undertaking security risk assessments, providing advice to others, incident management and planning, whilst also, developing confidence in managing stakeholders. 

Appropriate communications to the business needs to be clear and you will be at the forefront of this. During your apprenticeship, you'll develop knowledge of data security and how to manage this effectively .

The learning enables you to understand threat, vulnerability and risk; security methods, operations and activities. You would develop an understanding of the risk on a local, national and international security basis and how to respond accordingly. 

The starting salary for this programme is £16,429.

How we'll support you

Training and Development

Completion of this apprenticeship will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge required to manage people working specifically in a security environment such as Private Security Industry, MOD, Event Security, ‘In –house’ security, Department for Transport and will provide a vocational route to a career in Security Management (excluding close protection). During your training, you’ll combine on-the-job learning with formal, nationally recognised development training to gain your level 3 apprenticeship. 

To help you drive and own your career progression, we’ll provide you with Personal Development Plan. This will be set and agreed with your line manager and reviewed regularly in performance reviews.

This apprenticeship follows the apprenticeship standards set out by the Institute of Apprenticeships.
